Maastricht University's international intake is large, and the city's portal is Maastricht Housing rather than SSH or DUWO. The 2026 monitor grouped Maastricht with cities where pressure is easing. That does not mean a room in the week you land — the portal and the private market keep their own windows.
The 2026 monitor flagged easing pressure here, and in places a risk of local oversupply. September can still be full.

ROOM.nl's own registration for non-profit student housing. ROOM charges a one-time €35 fee, from age 16. ROOM does not list the rooms.
- Roommatch.nl
Supply site linked to ROOM. Several landlords, including DUWO, Idealis and Lefier, publish ads here.
- SSH
Student landlord in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Groningen, Tilburg, Zwolle and a few other cities. Waiting time usually comes from ROOM.nl.
- DUWO
Student landlord in Amsterdam, Delft, Leiden, The Hague and a few other cities. Many rooms for newcomers are reserved by the university.
- SSH&
Student landlord for Nijmegen and Arnhem. New rooms go online on Wednesdays. A free profile is enough to start.
- Idealis
Student landlord for Wageningen and Ede. Rooms are offered through ROOM.nl and Roommatch.
- Kamernet
Private rooms and sublets. A subscription, not a waiting list. Check the landlord yourself.
- HousingAnywhere
Mid-term and international listings, with a booking fee. Useful when the corporation list is too slow.
- Maastricht Housing
The city's student portal, used heavily by Maastricht University. Separate from ROOM.
- Woonpunt
Local housing association. Social stock, not the international short-stay portal.
